Communications Committee Charter


MISSION

To provide, promote and enhance community communications for Property Owners between the Board, Committees, the Property Management Office and Property Owners.

MEMBERSHIP

The Communications Committee is currently comprised of the following sub-committee's: Internal and External . The Internal committee deals with communications tools including the website and distribution of emails and surveys. The external committee is responsible for communication and information (media, publications, news) outside of Winding River Plantation. Announcements to fill vacancies will be made via River Notes. The committee has the prerogative to increase/decrease the size of the committee as deemed necessary by committee responsibilities. The current committee members:

FUNCTIONS   

Current functions include the distribution of River Notes (community e-mail notices) and the maintenance of the community website. . Another function of the committee is to maintain and enhance the community website. This includes updating and posting Board and Committee web pages; maintaining a resident Directory; maintaining a list of Winding River rental properties; maintaining a list of resident businesses; posting a list of community interest groups; technical management of the community website calendar; and providing helpful links. In addition, the committee provides technical assistance in conducting on-line surveys & polls. The committee also acts as a communications liaison between various entities within the community and also promotes educating the community on better understanding the mechanisms of communication. Listed below are some of the committee’s functions along with the primary contact for that function.
