Community Access to Resources, Education, and Services
MISSION
The mission of the C.A.R.E.S. (Community Access to Resources, Education and Services) Committee is to promote a strong sense of community and lifelong wellness through information sharing and community volunteer assistance in time of need.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To represent the community’s core values with genuine concern for all Winding River property owners.
• To provide information utilizing WR POST, River Notes, seminars, and arrange for guest speakers dedicated to encouraging a sense of safety, connection, enjoyment, and community service.
• To maintain a list of friends of the committee and utilize Meal Train software to provide meals, transportation to local health providers, local errands, Celebration of Life desserts.
• To provide CPR, AED training for community at large and manage AED maintenance and repair.
• To test the working of 911 phones at all POC facilities semi-annually.
• To conduct community blood drives.
• To meet bi-monthly with Caring Neighbors chair and sub-committee members.
• To ensure confidentiality of resident requesting assistance.
• To provide a quarterly report on Caring Neighbor contribution to the community.
• To notify residents annually about opportunities to serve on the Committee:

To meet the mission of the committee thru, service and support thus encouraging aging in place, a strong sense of community and caring for neighbors in time of need.
